The Central
Virginia Parrot Head Club is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to
engage and participate in activities that are charitable, educational, and
promote the well being of the community. The club helps to sponsor and
provide social activities and events in the community for all who share an
interest in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he
personifies. We represent the Parrot Heads in Charlottesville, VA and
surrounding areas. We were founded in September 1999 by Bob "Coach" Roach and Mike Spivey. At Durty Nelly's Pub.
Our mission: To bring together fans of Jimmy Buffett's music in a social setting who also have a desire and willingness to make our community a better place to live. In 2004, Parrot Head Clubs collectively raised and/or donated to charitable organizations $2,202,957!! Additionally, chapters worldwide donated approximately 404,690 man-hours to philanthropic activities!
